Ames, Iowa — No. 3 Iowa State cruised to an 83-51 victory over Omaha on Sunday, powered by Keshon Gilbert’s 16-point performance.

The Cyclones (9-1) overcame early struggles, including eight turnovers, before finding their rhythm with a decisive 20-2 run to close the first half.

Joshua Jefferson and Milan Momcilovic each tallied 13 points and two steals for Iowa State, while Tamin Lipsey added 11 points. Nate Heise came off the bench to score 10, contributing to the Cyclones’ balanced offensive attack.

Omaha (4-9) was led by Tony Osburn’s 13 points, with Isaac Ondekane chipping in 12. However, Marquel Sutton, who entered the game averaging a team-high 16.2 points, was held to just three.

Iowa State set a program record by scoring at least 80 points in 10 consecutive games and extended their home nonconference winning streak to 33 games.
