AMES, Iowa — Audi Crooks poured in 27 points and four other Cyclones scored in double figures as No. 12 Iowa State demolished Mercyhurst 112–62 on Sunday.
Crooks, who entered the matchup averaging 25.7 points per game, converted 8 of 9 attempts from the field and went 11-for-14 at the free-throw line. Arianna Jackson added 12 points, while Reese Beaty, Addy Brown, and Sydney Harris each contributed 11 for undefeated Iowa State (7–0).
Despite leading by only two points at the end of the first quarter, 26–24, the Cyclones completely took control from there. They erupted for a 63–19 scoring margin across the second and third quarters, stretching the lead to 89–43 heading into the fourth.
Iowa State shot an efficient 54% from the floor, while Mercyhurst finished at 40%. Both squads knocked down 12 three-pointers.

For winless Mercyhurst (0–5), Jenna Van Schaik led the way with 17 points. Sofia Wilson scored 13, and Lena Walz added 10.
The Cyclones’ 7–0 opening marks their best start since the 2021–22 season, when they also began with seven straight victories.
