South Carolina women’s basketball moved one step closer to securing another SEC title with a commanding 93-75 victory over Oklahoma in the tournament semifinals on Saturday. The win secured the Gamecocks’ sixth consecutive appearance in the SEC Tournament championship game, setting a new conference record.

Freshman forward Joyce Edward led the charge for South Carolina, scoring a team-high 21 points. MiLaysia Fulwiley contributed 19 points and five assists, while Sania Feagin, Tessa Johnson, and Chloe Kitts also scored in double figures. Feagin finished with 14 points, Johnson added 11, and Kitts chipped in 10.

The top-seeded Gamecocks (29-3) took control early and never trailed against the No. 10 Sooners (25-7), who were playing their third game of the tournament. Oklahoma’s Sarah Williams led her team with 19 points, but South Carolina’s defense limited Reagen Beers to just seven points and eight rebounds.

South Carolina now awaits the winner of No. 1 Texas and No. 9 LSU for Sunday’s championship showdown. The Gamecocks were the highest-ranked No. 2 seed in the NCAA Selection Committee’s most recent Top 16 reveal, trailing only No. 1 Notre Dame in the Birmingham 4 region.

However, with the Fighting Irish struggling down the stretch—including their ACC Tournament elimination on Saturday—South Carolina is in prime position to reclaim a No. 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
