Jersey City, N.J.— Defending champion Nelly Korda has positioned herself for a potential second consecutive Mizuho Americas Open title, leading the tournament by two strokes after three rounds at Liberty National Golf Club. Korda, who began the day with a one-shot deficit, surged ahead with a bogey-free 65, bringing her total to 13-under 203. Her performance included three birdies on the back nine, showcasing her resilience and skill on the challenging course.

Australian golfer Hannah Green is in close pursuit, sitting at 11-under 205 after an impressive 63 in the third round. Green’s round set a new tournament record, one stroke better than the previous best, highlighting her exceptional form and determination.

The final round promises an exciting showdown between Korda and Green, both aiming to add another prestigious title to their careers. With the iconic New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty providing a stunning backdrop, the stage is set for a memorable conclusion to the 2025 Mizuho Americas Open.

Kristen Gillman (69), Yealimi Noh (71), and Australia’s Hira Naveed (69) are all tied for 10th place at 6-under, sitting just two strokes off the lead heading into the final round.

Canada’s Brooke M. Henderson, a two-time major winner and former top-10 player in the world, narrowly missed the cut by a single shot. After an impressive front nine that included four birdies to reach 3-under, Henderson faltered on the back nine, carding just one birdie along with four bogeys—capped by a bogey on her final hole—to finish at even par, one shot outside the cut line.

Among other notable players who failed to make the weekend were Sweden’s Madelene Sagstrom, who finished at 2-over, and defending champion Rose Zhang, who struggled to a 4-over total.
