Chicago, IL — Rebecca Allen delivered a season-high 27 points, including five 3-pointers, and added three blocks to lead the Chicago Sky to an 87-76 victory over the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night. With the win, the Sky improved to 6-13 on the season.

Angel Reese continued her strong play, posting 15 points and 11 rebounds, marking her 13th double-double of the season. Rachel Banham also contributed 11 points in the victory.

For Dallas (6-15), Li Yueru had a standout performance with 18 points and 10 boards, while rookie All-Star Paige Bueckers chipped in 17 points despite shooting just 5-of-20 from the field. JJ Quinerly chipped in with 16 points for the Wings, who were missing several key players due to injury.

Li Yueru’s Strong Shooting Night

Li, a 6-foot-7 center, had an impressive performance from beyond the arc, hitting 4 of 7 three-pointers. Entering the game with just 4-of-8 shooting from long range for the season, her accuracy from deep was one of the few bright spots for Dallas.

Chicago Takes Control in Third Quarter

With the game tied at 54-54 midway through the third quarter, Rebecca Allen took over, hitting two 3-pointers and a long jumper to cap a 13-2 run, giving the Sky a 67-57 lead with just over two minutes left in the period. That momentum carried Chicago through the final frame, where they held off a late charge from Dallas.

Dallas Attempts Late Comeback

Dallas showed signs of life with 3:37 left when Quinerly made a free throw, cutting the deficit to just six points. However, Angel Reese quickly answered with a layup, grabbed a key rebound on the other end, and converted a three-point play to push the Sky’s lead to 87-76, sealing the win.

Sky Sweep Season Series Against Wings

The Sky completed the three-game season sweep of the Wings, having already defeated them 97-92 on May 29 and 94-83 on May 31.

Wings Playing Shorthanded

The Wings were without several key players, including DiJonai Carrington (rib), Arike Ogunbowale (thumb), Maddy Siegrist (knee), and Tyasha Harris (knee), which left them short-handed for the contest.

Sky Honor Allie Quigley at Halftime

During halftime, the Chicago Sky retired Allie Quigley’s No. 14 jersey, honoring her incredible legacy with the team. Quigley, who grew up in nearby Joliet, Illinois, played 10 seasons with the Sky and helped lead the team to its first WNBA Championship in 2021. The three-time WNBA All-Star is the first player in Sky history to have her jersey retired.
