Anaheim, Calif. — Marcus Semien had a stellar 4-for-5 night, while Corey Seager delivered a two-run single during a seven-run third inning, powering the Texas Rangers to an 11-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. The win allowed the Rangers to split the four-game series.

Texas starter Patrick Corbin (6-7) earned his second consecutive win, tossing five solid innings. He gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out six. Jacob Latz came in for 3 1/3 innings of relief, allowing one run and striking out six.

Semien played a major role early, contributing three hits, an RBI, and two runs scored in the first three frames. Seager went 2-for-3, and seven of the Rangers’ nine starters had at least one RBI in their 13-hit offensive explosion.

Adolis García capped the offensive onslaught with his 11th home run of the season, a two-run shot off Carson Fulmer in the eighth, securing the final margin of victory.

On the mound for the Angels, Jack Kochanowicz (3-9) struggled through just 2 2/3 innings, surrendering eight runs. Carson Fulmer was more effective in relief, allowing three runs over 5 1/3 innings.

The Rangers took an early lead with a four-hit rally in the first. Semien, Seager, García, and Jonah Heim each singled consecutively to give Texas a 2-0 advantage. In the third inning, Wyatt Langford and Evan Carter drove in runs with RBI singles, and Jake Burger added an RBI double to cap the big frame.

The Angels responded with a two-run blast from Taylor Ward, his 21st of the year, in the fifth, narrowing the gap to 9-2. Lamonte Wade Jr. added an RBI single in the sixth, and Zach Neto pulled the Angels a little closer with a solo home run, his 14th, off Dane Dunning in the ninth.

Key Moment: In the first inning, despite Corbin allowing three singles, the Angels failed to capitalize. Mike Trout grounded into a double play, and Ward was thrown out at home by Adolis García as Jo Adell singled to right.

Key Stat: Texas continues to dominate on the mound, leading MLB with a 3.30 ERA, while the Angels sit at 4.59, ranking 24th among 30 teams.
