Chicago, IL — Angel Reese delivered another strong performance in her sophomore season, posting 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Chicago Sky to a dominant 88–64 win over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday night at Wintrust Arena. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for Chicago.

Reese’s performance marked her 23rd double-double of the season, further solidifying her as a consistent force in the paint. Teammate Kamilla Cardoso added 16 points as Chicago (10–30) improved to 6–15 on their home floor.

Connecticut (10–31), now 4–17 on the road, was led by veteran Tina Charles, who scored 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting. In the process, Charles etched her name into the WNBA record books by surpassing Diana Taurasi for the most career field goals made in league history, finishing the night with 3,347.

Saniya Rivers added 16 points for the Sun, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Chicago’s hot start.

The Sky opened the game on an 8–0 run and never looked back, building a 30–10 lead early in the second quarter. By halftime, they held a 42–27 advantage, shooting over 51% from the floor and knocking down 11 of 13 free throws.

Kia Nurse chipped in 12 points for Chicago, while Rachel Banham and Elizabeth Williams each contributed 10. Banham also sank a pair of three-pointers, pushing her season total to 82—second-most in a single season in franchise history, trailing only Marina Mabrey’s record of 89.

Though both teams are already out of playoff contention, the victory was a strong statement for Chicago, snapping Connecticut’s five-game road winning streak in the series dating back to 2023.
