Las Vegas, NV—-A’ja Wilson powered the Las Vegas Aces with 31 points and 11 rebounds in an 80-66 win over the Chicago Sky on Sunday night, pushing the Aces’ winning streak to a franchise-record 14 games.

This victory ties Las Vegas with the 2021 Connecticut Sun for the fourth-longest regular-season win streak in WNBA history. The all-time record remains with the 2001 Los Angeles Sparks, who won 18 straight en route to their championship.

With the win, the Aces (28-14) are now level with the Atlanta Dream for second place in the WNBA standings, holding a narrow edge over the Phoenix Mercury. Just one game remains in the regular season, with the 2025 WNBA Playoffs set to begin next Sunday.

The Sky were without star forward Angel Reese, who did not suit up after being suspended for the first half due to comments deemed “detrimental to the team.” At halftime, Chicago announced she would not return due to a back injury.

Reese had also missed Friday’s loss to Indiana while serving a one-game suspension for accumulating her eighth technical foul of the season. Additionally, Chicago played without Ariel Atkins, sidelined with a back issue.

Wilson continued her historic run, posting her third consecutive 30-point performance and 13th of the season — the most in a single WNBA season. The reigning three-time MVP also notched her 10th 30-point double-double of the year. Jackie Young contributed 20 points and dished out nine assists to support the Aces’ offensive charge.

Wilson opened the game by scoring off her own missed shot, sparking an 11-0 run that set the tone. Las Vegas never trailed.

Chicago (10-32) was led by Rachel Banham and Michaela Onyenwere, who scored 12 points each. Rookie Kamilla Cardoso added 10 points and grabbed 15 boards in the loss.

Las Vegas played without forward NaLyssa Smith, who remains in concussion protocol.

The Aces and Sky will meet again on Tuesday in Las Vegas.
