Lehman Center For The Performing Arts Presents Disney’S Moana Live-To-Film Concert

Bronx, NY—Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, celebrating its 45th anniversary, is proud to present, with AMP Worldwide and Disney Concerts, DISNEY’S MOANA LIVE-TO-FILM CONCERT on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2:00 pm. The event will feature a full-length screening of the Disney film Moana and live performances with Hollywood studio musicians, Polynesian rhythm masters, and vocals, celebrating the music and songs from this award-winning Walt Disney Animation Studios’ classic.

Moana is a critically-acclaimed Disney musical animated film directed by Ron Clements, John Musker, Don Hall, and Chris Williams, and has won over 20 awards and 90 nominations, including a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year, andGolden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture – Animated. Drawing on a vibrant tapestry of Polynesian culture, the film follows the beloved protagonist Moana (voiced by Auli’i Cravalho) and her demigod sidekick, Maui (Dwayne Johnson), on a quest to return the stolen heart of the goddess Te Fiti and save the island of Motunui. Along the way, the duo’s journey is accompanied with musical numbers by Lin Manuel-Miranda and orchestration by Mark Mancina, including the hit song, “How Far I’ll Go.”

Apart from garnering over a billion views on YouTube, the song has also received a Grammy award for Best Song Written for Visual Media, an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song), andGolden Globe nomination for Best Original Song – Motion Picture. The orchestra includes guitarist and vocalist Vaea A’etonu, percussionist and drummer Kai Kalama, bassist and vocalist Ryan Keau Kalama, percussionist Lauren Kosty, percussionist Erica Kika Parra, woodwindist Lester Paredes, percussionist Anthony Kauka Stanley, percussionist Sioeli Tameifuna, and vocalist Nina Sosefina.
