Ames, Iowa — No. 16 Iowa State dominated from start to finish Wednesday night as Audi Crooks delivered a record-breaking performance, scoring 43 points in just 20 minutes to lead the Cyclones to a 97–50 rout of Valparaiso in their first-ever meeting.

Crooks etched her name in the program’s history books, breaking the Cyclones’ single-game scoring record with a free throw early in the fourth quarter. The previous mark of 42 points had stood since 1984, set by Tonya Burns against Nebraska.

The junior center was unstoppable inside, shooting 18-for-23 from the field, adding seven rebounds and a block, and extending her streak of 71 straight double-figure scoring games—the longest active run in NCAA women’s basketball. She opened the fourth quarter with six quick points to push the lead to 73–42 before taking a seat to a standing ovation.

Iowa State (3–0) controlled the game from the tip, using a 33–10 surge in the first half to take a commanding 43–22 halftime lead.

Addy Brown provided strong support with 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, while surpassing 1,000 career points. Jada Williams recorded her first career double-double, finishing with 11 points, 10 assists, and three steals as the Cyclones continued their early-season offensive explosion.

Valparaiso (0–3) struggled to keep pace, shooting just 29% from the field. Milana Nenadic was a bright spot for the Beacons with 20 points and six rebounds, but the team was overpowered on both ends of the floor.

The Cyclones shot 53.4% (39-of-73) and have now scored at least 85 points in four straight games, while holding opponents to an average of just 44.5 points per contest.
