UNLV Improves to 2–0 in Mountain West With Dominant Win Over Air Force

Las Vegas, NV — UNLV dominated Air Force 67–39 on Saturday, led by a balanced effort from Tyrin Jones.

Jones scored a team-high 14 points and added six rebounds to guide the Rebels to their second straight Mountain West Conference win, improving to 7–6 overall and 2–0 in league play. Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn contributed 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-5 from three-point range, while Howard Fleming Jr. added 10 points, connecting on 4-of-7 shots with one three-pointer.

Air Force struggled offensively, dropping its seventh consecutive game to fall to 3–11 overall and 0–3 in the conference. Lucas Hobin led the Falcons with 11 points and two steals, while Caleb Walker chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds. Kam Sanders added seven points for Air Force.

UNLV built an early lead, going into halftime up 35–20. Jones led the Rebels in the first half with 10 points, and the team extended its advantage in the second half, outscoring Air Force 32–19. Gibbs-Lawhorn paced UNLV after the break with nine points, helping secure a decisive win.
