LAS VEGAS, NV — Jewell Loyd came off the bench to score 21 points, hitting five 3-pointers, as the Las Vegas Aces outlasted the New York Liberty 83-77 on Wednesday night for their fifth consecutive win.

The victory marked the Aces’ first regular-season triumph over the Liberty since August 17, 2023.

A’ja Wilson notched her 15th double-double of the season, finishing with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Jackie Young added 15 points, and Chelsea Gray chipped in with 13 for Las Vegas (19-14). Loyd’s performance included her 26th career game with at least five 3-pointers made — tying her with Aces head coach Becky Hammon for third-most in WNBA history.

New York (21-12) was led by Emma Meesseman, who tallied 24 points and 10 rebounds. Sabrina Ionescu scored 18 points, while Jonquel Jones contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. The Liberty were without Breanna Stewart (knee), Isabelle Harrison (concussion), and Nyara Sabally (knee).

Loyd and Young sparked a key run late in the third quarter, each hitting a 3-pointer on back-to-back possessions. Young converted a four-point play to give the Aces a 59-58 lead — their first since being up 33-31 earlier in the game.

New York’s offense stalled in the fourth, missing eight consecutive shots before Meesseman hit a hook shot to reclaim a brief 69-68 lead with 5:26 remaining.

The Aces responded by dominating the boards, pulling down three offensive rebounds on one key possession, which ended with Wilson sinking two free throws to extend the lead to 80-74. Las Vegas scored 22 points in the final quarter, 15 of them coming from the free-throw line.

Meesseman and Ionescu accounted for all 14 of the Liberty’s fourth-quarter points.
