Columbia, S.C. — South Carolina stayed unbeaten with a dominant wire-to-wire performance Wednesday night, rolling past Presbyterian 81–61 behind a balanced offensive effort.

Mike Sharavjamts led the way with 13 points as four Gamecocks scored in double figures. Grant Polk added 12 points on four 3-pointers, while Jordan Butler and Myles Stute each contributed 11. Eli Ellis and Meechie Johnson chipped in nine points apiece to round out a well-rounded team effort.

South Carolina (3–0) took control early, building a double-digit advantage midway through the first half and heading into the break up 41–22. Polk sparked the offense with three triples before halftime, while Presbyterian’s Jonah Pierce did his best to keep the Blue Hose close, scoring 12 of his 19 points in the opening period.

The Gamecocks continued to pour it on after the break. A Stute 3-pointer followed by a Johnson layup pushed the lead to 73–39 with just over 10 minutes remaining, effectively sealing the win.

Pierce finished just shy of a double-double for Presbyterian (3–2), adding nine rebounds to his 19 points. Carl Parrish scored 15, and Chidi Chiakwelu chipped in 11, while Jaylen Peterson pulled down 11 boards.

Both teams shot 42% from the field, but the difference came from beyond the arc—South Carolina hit 8 of 25 attempts (32%), while Presbyterian went 0-for-8 from deep.

Up next, Presbyterian travels west to face Sacramento State on Sunday. South Carolina wraps up its four-game homestand Tuesday night against Radford.
