Chestnut Hill, Mass. — The 2025 Boston College Eagles officially launched their training camp today, marking the start of a busy month ahead. The team kicked off their first of 25 scheduled practices at the Chamberlin Practice Fields under the watchful eye of head coach Bill O’Brien. The session, which lasted for two hours, was the first chance for players and coaches to hit the ground running as they prepare for the upcoming season.

After practice, Coach O’Brien sat down with the media alongside key players: offensive lineman Jude Bowry, running back Alex Broome, and defensive end Quintayvious Hutchins. Even though it was just the first day back, Coach O’Brien’s enthusiasm was palpable as he spoke about the experience of working with his team.

“I really enjoy being around these guys,” O’Brien shared. “They’re dedicated and they give their best effort every time. I love coaching them because they genuinely want to get better. It’s just fun to be out there with them.”

The energy and positivity were reflected by the players, too. Running back Alex Broome, who is entering his redshirt junior season, expressed his excitement to be back on the field after months of preparation.

“It’s great to finally get back out there,” Broome said. “After the winter and spring workouts, you just can’t wait to get back on the turf. It feels like we’ve been waiting forever, but today felt fantastic.”

Fellow redshirt junior, offensive lineman Jude Bowry, echoed Broome’s sentiments, praising the team’s dedication and work ethic.

“We’ve got a bunch of guys who are ready to grind every day,” Bowry said. “It’s awesome to be part of a team that has this kind of energy and commitment. Coming to work every day feels like something special.”

With the season just around the corner, the Eagles are gearing up for a rigorous training schedule, including practices tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday, with more to follow throughout the month. The team will continue its preparations until August 23. However, all practices are closed to the public as the Eagles focus on building a strong foundation for the season ahead.
