Uncasville, Conn. —Lauren Jensen led the way with 19 points as No. 23 Creighton cruised to a 73-44 victory over Seton Hall on Sunday, securing a spot in the Big East Conference Tournament final. The second-seeded Bluejays will now look to avenge their two conference losses to UConn when they face the No. 3 Huskies in Monday’s championship game.

Morgan Maly contributed 14 points, including a three-pointer in her 51st consecutive game, while Kennedy Townsend added 10 points. Jensen’s 19 points pushed her career total to 2,029, moving her up to third on Creighton’s all-time scoring list.

The Bluejays (27-5) had to come from behind in the quarterfinals to defeat Georgetown, but they were never threatened in this semifinal matchup, marking their first appearance in the title game since 2016.

For Seton Hall (22-9), Faith Masonium led with 16 points, and Jada Eads chipped in 11.

Creighton set the tone early, making 5 of 7 three-pointers in the opening quarter, including two from Jensen, who had 10 points in the frame. The Bluejays jumped out to a commanding 23-6 lead, while Seton Hall struggled, shooting just 3 of 13 from the field and committing four turnovers.

The Pirates regrouped in the second quarter, tightening their defense and limiting Creighton to just 4 of 13 shooting with six turnovers, trimming the deficit to 33-22 by halftime.

Despite the Pirates’ defensive adjustment, Creighton remained hot in the second half, shooting 57% from the field. The Bluejays took control in the fourth quarter, opening with a 19-4 run that extended their lead to 30 points.

Creighton finished the game shooting 12 of 23 from beyond the arc and 17 of 32 from inside. In contrast, Seton Hall struggled from the floor, shooting just 28% overall and hitting only 3 of 18 from three-point range.

The Bluejays will now prepare for a rematch with UConn in the championship game on Monday night.
