San Francisco, CA— Stephen Curry scored 28 points and drained five 3-pointers, while Moses Moody came off the bench to add 24 points and match him with five from deep, as the Golden State Warriors jumped to an early lead and held off the short-handed Phoenix Suns 118–107 on Tuesday night.

Devin Booker poured in a season-high 38 points and made all 11 of his free throws to pace the Suns. Mark Williams added 16 points and a season-best 16 rebounds, while Grayson Allen also scored 16. Phoenix, playing without injured starters Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green, trailed 68–49 at halftime but clawed back with a 20–6 run to end the third quarter and close within 92–83 entering the final period.

Quinten Post contributed 14 points on four 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds for Golden State. Brandin Podziemski chipped in 13 points, and Buddy Hield finished with 12.

The Warriors, who have now started 4–0 at home, displayed a balanced attack — a welcome sign for a team that recently endured a grueling stretch of seven games across five cities in 12 days. Golden State wraps up its back-to-back set Wednesday night in Sacramento.

Head coach Steve Kerr said afterward that Curry will sit out against the Kings due to a worsening cold.

Jimmy Butler, who was listed as questionable before tip-off with lower back soreness, started and helped fuel an early 11–0 Warriors run. Golden State hit 7 of 11 3-pointers in the opening quarter to take a 33–19 lead. However, Butler did not return for the second half, finishing with just two points on 1-of-5 shooting in 14 minutes. Kerr said Butler will again be questionable for Wednesday’s game.

Veteran Al Horford sat out the first half of the back-to-back as the Warriors continue to manage his left toe injury.

The Suns have now dropped their first four road games of the season.
