
Chicago, IL — Isaiah Rivera led DePaul to victory in its regular-season finale, scoring 21 points in an 83-77 win over Georgetown on Saturday.
With the win, the Blue Demons (13-18, 4-16 Big East) secured momentum heading into their Big East Tournament rematch against the Hoyas (17-14, 8-12). The two teams will face off again in the tournament’s first round on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, with Georgetown as the No. 7 seed and DePaul as the No. 10 seed.
Rivera also contributed nine rebounds and six assists to DePaul’s effort. CJ Gunn added 17 points, hitting 5 of 14 shots from the field and converting 6 of 7 free throws. Layden Blocker provided a spark with 16 points, shooting 7 for 11 overall and knocking down two of his four three-point attempts.

Micah Peavy was a force for Georgetown, leading all scorers with 29 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. Jayden Epps chipped in 17 points for the Hoyas, while Jordan Burks nearly had a double-double with nine points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.
DePaul held a slim 38-34 advantage at halftime and managed to maintain its lead down the stretch, securing a much-needed win ahead of postseason play.
