Atlanta, GA — Cade Cunningham delivered a stellar performance with 38 points, 12 assists, and 7 rebounds, leading the Detroit Pistons to a thrilling 148-143 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night. The win extended the Pistons’ winning streak to six games, marking a season-high.

Malik Beasley added 24 points, making 6 of 10 shots from beyond the arc, while the Pistons shot a season-best 59.1% from the hardwood, including an impressive 20-for-40 performance from downtown. Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in18 points, and Dennis Schroder came off the bench poured in 16 points.

For the Hawks, Trae Young was outstanding, finishing with 38 points and 13 assists, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a third consecutive loss. Georges Niang was also a major contributor, scoring 27 points and tying his career high with seven 3-pointers.

Cunningham’s breakout performance came while being guarded by Dyson Daniels, one of the leading contenders for Defensive Player of the Year. Although Daniels managed four steals, pushing his season total to an NBA-leading 156, Cunningham was dominant in the first half. In response, the Hawks resorted to double-teaming Cunningham on nearly every possession after halftime, including in the backcourt.
