No. 13 Georgia kicked off its weekend series in Columbia, South Carolina, with a commanding 7-3 victory over No. 9 South Carolina. The Bulldogs’ offense came alive early, while pitcher Randi Roelling delivered a complete-game performance to secure the win.
Sarah Gordon and Mua Williams powered Georgia at the plate, both tallying multiple hits and launching home runs. Their contributions helped the Bulldogs improve to 21-4 overall and 2-2 in SEC play.
Georgia wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, posting a four-run second inning. Gordon ignited the rally with a two-run triple down the right field line before scoring on a Jadyn Goodwin single.
Williams made her presence felt in the fourth inning, belting her first career home run to left field. She finished 2-for-4 at the plate, notching her third multi-hit game of the season. Later in the inning, Dallis Goodnight doubled and came around to score on a single from Lyndi Rae Davis.

Goodnight played a key role throughout the game, scoring three times, drawing a walk, and stealing a base.
Gordon capped off Georgia’s offensive outburst in the sixth, crushing a solo homer to center field to extend the lead to 7-2. On the mound, Roelling kept the Gamecocks in check, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out one. She limited South Carolina to a single run in the seventh, sealing her sixth win of the season and moving to 6-2 overall.
