Atlanta, GA — Trae Young posted 11 points and 14 assists as the Atlanta Hawks ended a three-game losing streak with a 98-86 victory over the Miami Heat on Monday night.

Onyeka Okongwu contributed 17 points and eight rebounds, while Terrance Mann and Caris LeVert each added 15 points off the bench. Dyson Daniels, the NBA’s steals leader, racked up seven steals, just one shy of his season high.

The Hawks allowed the fewest points in a game since their 100-82 win over Cleveland on March 14, 2021, moving past Miami into eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

Andrew Wiggins led the Heat with 23 points, but Miami dropped their sixth game in seven outings, struggling early with their shooting. They missed 13 of their first 14 attempts from beyond the arc.

Miami’s All-Star Tyler Herro, who had scored 40 points in two of his last three games, was held to just 11 points on 4-for-19 shooting.

Key Stat:

One night after allowing the Detroit Pistons to shoot a season-high 59.1% from the field, the Hawks bounced back by holding the Heat to a season-low 32.1% shooting.
