Boulder, CO—-The matchup between Kansas and Colorado was a hard-fought battle, with both teams exchanging momentum throughout the game. Despite Colorado’s persistent efforts to stay within reach, Kansas managed to maintain control down the stretch.
One of the game’s most electrifying moments came in the second half when Bangot Dak threw down a thunderous alley-oop off a pass from Julian Hammond III, cutting the deficit to just two points at 53-51.
The Buffaloes continued to fight, narrowing the gap to two once again with 4:12 remaining. However, that was as close as they would get for the rest of the contest.
With just 2:28 left on the clock, Kansas held a narrow four-point lead as Colorado’s relentless effort on the offensive glass kept them in the fight. But in the end, the Buffaloes had no answer for the dominant performances of Hunter Dickinson and KJ Adams.
Kansas managed to fend off the upset attempt, capitalizing on missed opportunities by Colorado in the closing minutes. The Jayhawks’ size and efficiency proved to be the difference, as they secured a 71-64 victory.

Dickinson and Adams were instrumental in the win, combining for 47 points. Dickinson led the charge with 32 points and 13 rebounds, while Adams added 15 points on an efficient 7-12 shooting. As a team, Kansas shot 49% from the field compared to Colorado’s 38%.
After the game, both Adams and CU head coach Tad Boyle described Dickinson’s performance as that of a “beast.”
Dickinson himself credited the Kansas fans for their support, noting that the atmosphere “felt like a neutral site game.”
