Las Vegas, NV—A’ja Wilson delivered another standout performance with 31 points and eight rebounds, leading the Las Vegas Aces to a 97-87 victory over the league-leading Minnesota Lynx on Thursday night. The win marked a franchise-record 13th consecutive victory for Las Vegas.

Wilson tied a WNBA record by scoring 30 or more points for the 12th time this season. Jackie Young contributed 20 points, helping the Aces (27-14) end a six-game skid against the Lynx, dating back to their last win over Minnesota on May 29, 2024.

With the win, Las Vegas moved into a three-way tie for second place with Atlanta and Phoenix, all trailing Minnesota (32-9) by five games.

The Aces took control in the third quarter, going up 63-55 following back-to-back threes from Jewell Loyd and Young. Chelsea Gray closed the period with a buzzer-beating layup, giving Las Vegas a 70-66 edge heading into the fourth.

Wilson’s lone three-pointer came midway through the final quarter, pushing the lead to double digits at 81-71.

Minnesota’s Natisha Hiedeman sparked the Lynx off the bench with 22 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter. Courtney Williams added 14, while Napheesa Collier was held to 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting.

The Aces shot an impressive 55.1% from the field and went 11-of-24 from beyond the arc.

Notably, Las Vegas avenged a 53-point loss to Minnesota from their last matchup on August 2, and in doing so, became just the seventh team in WNBA history to string together 13 wins in a single season.
