Baton Rouge, La. – Top-ranked LSU erupted for 17 runs across the first three innings on Tuesday night, cruising to an 18-4 victory over Xavier in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. The game was called after the top of the seventh inning due to the 10-run mercy rule.

With the win, LSU extended its winning streak to 12 games, improving to 17-1 on the season, while Xavier fell to 7-10. This marks the Tigers’ longest win streak since a 13-game run from February 26 to March 18, 2023.

In Tuesday’s victory, LSU racked up 18 hits, highlighted by a grand slam from third baseman Tanner Reaves in the third inning. Reaves finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBI. Right fielder Jake Brown had a perfect night at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, while first baseman Jared Jones was 3-for-4 with his seventh home run of the season and two RBI. Second baseman Daniel Dickinson also homered, marking his sixth of the year.
