Ames, Iowa Iowa State Cyclones delivered another emphatic performance at Hilton Coliseum, overwhelming Long Beach State 91–60 on Sunday night to remain unbeaten at 12–0.

Sophomore sharpshooter Milan Momcilovic put on a clinic from deep, knocking down seven 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 27 points. Entering the night as the Big 12’s most accurate shooter from long range, Momcilovic wasted no time backing it up, burying his first six attempts from beyond the arc. He finished an efficient 7-for-9 from 3-point range and 9-for-11 overall, setting the tone for a Cyclone rout.

Iowa State’s defense was just as dominant as its offense. The Cyclones smothered Long Beach State early, allowing only six points over the opening 10 minutes and racing out to a stunning 45–9 advantage with 5:30 left before halftime. The game was effectively decided before the break as Iowa State showcased its depth, energy, and relentless pressure.

Joshua Jefferson turned in a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Blake Buchanan controlled the paint with 13 points and 13 boards. Iowa State’s balanced attack and dominance on the glass kept Long Beach State from ever finding a rhythm.

The victory extended Iowa State’s nonconference home winning streak to 41 games — the second-longest in program history — and marked just the third time the Cyclones have opened a season with 12 straight wins (2013–14, 2021–22). Hilton Coliseum once again proved to be a fortress.

Freshman Gavin Sykes led Long Beach State with 19 points, but the Beach struggled throughout the night. The loss dropped Long Beach State to 3–10 and extended its road losing streak to 15 games, along with a 33-game skid against ranked opponents.
