Kansas City, MO—-There were 272 players selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, headlined by three quarterbacks being selected in the first four picks. Carolina Panthers 1st pick of the draft was Alabama’s former Heisman winning QB Bryce Young, followed by the Houston Texans grabbing Ohio State standout QB CJ Stroud. The Texans dropped the first mind blowing move, trading up from 12th to number three to select the outstanding edge rusher from Alabama Will Anderson Jr. arguably the best overall player in this year’s draft.

The Indianapolis Colts selected the third QB in 4 picks introducing Florida’s Anthony Richardson to Colts fans as their new starting QB in Indianapolis. Indianapolis Colts now hold the record for most QB’s selected in the 1st round, breaking the tie with the Cleveland Browns and the Tennessee Titans.

The Winners And Losers Of the 2023 NFL Draft:

Winners of the draft without a doubt were the Philadelphia Eagles with the 2 first round picks and they moved up a spot from pick 10 to 9, selecting Georgia Bulldogs All-American and 2-time College football Champion Defensive Tackle Jalen Carter followed by edge rusher Nolan Smith with the 30th pick. Stocking up on players that were rated the highest at their position like Illinois Safety Sydney Brown, a 4th round steal in getting Georgia CB Kelee Ringo. Also, teams that won in this year’s draft The Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburg Steelers, Houston Texans & the Las Vegas Raiders all rating higher than a B grade.

Losers of the 2023 draft: Featured by the Tampa Bay Bucs not selecting any players of need and drafted players that would have been available in the later rounds. The Washington Commanders are losers of this draft because according to the player rating and positions of need the Commanders reached for players 2 or 3 rounds too early. The players that the Commanders passed on would have been starters very early in their careers. Also, teams that didn’t improve their rosters with the draft Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, LA Chargers & the San Francisco 49ers all receiving a grade D or below.
