Uncasville, Conn. — Norfolk State secured a decisive 71-54 victory over Alabama State on Thursday night, with a strong performance from Brian Moore Jr., who led the Spartans with 15 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
Jalen Myers also played a key role, contributing 11 points and eight rebounds, while Christian Ings added 11 points, shooting 8 of 9 from the free-throw line despite going 1 of 4 from the field. The Spartans improved their record to 7-6 with the win.
For Alabama State, Antonio Madlock stood out with a game-high 17 points, while CJ Hines chipped in 13 points and three steals. Despite their efforts, the Hornets fell to 4-7 on the season.
