LOS ANGELES, CA — Kelsey Plum caught fire from deep, draining six 3-pointers on her way to 28 points, as the Los Angeles Sparks rolled to a 91–78 win over the Chicago Sky on Sunday afternoon, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Azura Stevens delivered a season-best performance with 24 points, while Dearica Hamby filled the stat sheet with 10 points, six boards, eight assists, and a career-high six steals. The win marked the Sparks’ first victory since their season-opening win over the Golden State Valkyries.
Veteran guard Odyssey Sims added 12 points, and Sarah Ashlee Barker made key contributions off the bench in the fourth to help close it out.

Rookie Duo Leads the Sky:
Chicago, still seeking its first win of the season (0–3), was led by rookie Angel Reese, who posted her second career double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso was efficient inside, scoring 12 on 6-of-9 shooting, while Courtney Vandersloot and Rebecca Allen each added 11 points.
Momentum Swing in the Third:
The turning point came early in the second half when Stevens buried a three to give L.A. a 51–48 lead. Minutes later, she sparked a 9-0 burst with another triple, extending the Sparks’ advantage to 15 late in the third quarter.
Chicago made a push in the fourth, trimming the deficit to five (76–71) after a Reese bucket with just over seven minutes left. But Barker answered with a clutch jumper, Stevens followed with two quick scores, and Plum knocked down a mid-range pull-up to re-establish a double-digit lead — and the Sparks never looked back.
What’s Next:
The Sky head to Phoenix to face the Mercury on Tuesday, while the Sparks host the Atlanta Dream to close out a three-game homestand.
