Baltimore, MD — The Ravens’ season-long climb out of an early 1–5 hole continued Sunday, even if the latest step wasn’t pretty. Behind two Derrick Henry touchdowns in the third quarter and a defense that stiffened when it mattered, Baltimore fought past the New York Jets 23–10 at M&T Bank Stadium, extending its winning streak to five games and pulling into a tie with Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North.

“It’s a good feeling, but we’re only halfway up the mountain,” head coach John Harbaugh said. “Nothing about this season is finished.”

A Slow Start, Then a Breakthrough

Baltimore played through a sluggish first half, with Lamar Jackson appearing limited by lingering knee and ankle soreness. He completed 13 of 23 passes for 153 yards but looked hesitant as both a passer and runner. The Ravens mustered just three points before the break and trailed 7–3 — the first time the Jets (2–10) had held a halftime lead since Week 1.

Momentum shifted early in the third when a third-and-15 incompletion turned into a 34-yard pass interference penalty on Jets corner Isaiah Oliver. Three plays later, Henry barreled in from the 2-yard line for Baltimore’s first touchdown — a score that put the Ravens ahead for good.

The Jets tried to answer with an aggressive fourth-down attempt from their own 42, but Tyrod Taylor’s pass fell incomplete. Another defensive pass interference flag moved Baltimore to the doorstep again, and on fourth-and-goal from the 2, Henry punched in his second touchdown to extend the lead to 17–7.

“Calls went against us,” Jets coach Aaron Glenn said. “I think some of those were questionable, and it felt like the refs were looking at our guys a little closely today.”

Missed Chances and Costly Mistakes

The Jets staged one final push in the fourth quarter, with Breece Hall breaking loose for a 40-yard catch-and-run to set up a red-zone opportunity. But Hall lost the ball at the end of a weaving run, with Marlon Humphrey stripping him clean and ending New York’s last real threat.

“That one hurt,” Hall said. “I made plays, but that turnover overshadows everything.”

Baltimore added a field goal to widen the gap, while Taylor — starting after Justin Fields was benched — threw a late interception to seal New York’s 10th consecutive losing season. The 36-year-old veteran finished with 222 yards, a touchdown, and a pick, also tossing a 13-yard score to John Metchie III in the second quarter.

“We’re taking steps, but we didn’t close it out,” Taylor said. “This locker room hates losing.”

Henry Climbs Up the Record Book

Though the Jets limited him to 64 yards on 21 carries, Henry still reached a major career milestone. He moved past Marcus Allen, Edgerrin James and Marshall Faulk on the NFL’s all-time rushing list and now sits 12th with 12,294 yards. Jim Brown (12,312) is the next name in reach.

Special Teams Spark

Baltimore’s top performer outside of Henry may have been punter Jordan Stout. His booming kicks — measuring 56, 49, 74 and 67 yards — repeatedly flipped field position. His final punt rolled out at the Jets’ 5-yard line.

“That was game-changing stuff,” Harbaugh said. “Every time we were in trouble, the punt team dug us out.”

Injuries

Ravens: Safety Kyle Hamilton left in the fourth quarter with an apparent foot injury, though Harbaugh said it does not appear serious. Defensive lineman Taven Bryan also exited the game.

Jets: No new major injuries reported.
