Chicago, IL—–Skylar Diggins led the charge with 21 points, and rookie standout Dominique Malonga recorded her first WNBA double-double as the Seattle Storm dominated the Chicago Sky 95-57 on Thursday night, thanks to a blistering 56-point second half.
Malonga, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, making league history in the process. At just 19 years and 250 days old, she became the youngest player in WNBA history to reach 100 career points, hitting the milestone on a fast-break bucket in the second quarter.
The Storm (15-10) entered halftime with a 39-26 lead and came out of the break firing on all cylinders, scoring the first eight points of the third quarter. Seattle opened the second half with a 13-1 run before Chicago finally found the basket, thanks to a Rachel Banham three-pointer.
Seattle’s lead ballooned late in the third, reaching a 28-point margin after Lexie Brown drained a deep three. The Storm held a commanding 70-43 edge heading into the final frame and didn’t slow down. They rattled off the first 10 points of the fourth quarter to stretch the lead to 37, and would go on to lead by as many as 39 points—twice.

Five Storm players scored in double figures. Erica Wheeler added 13 points, Brown contributed 12, while Gabby Williams and Nneka Ogwumike chipped in 10 apiece.
Chicago (7-17) was led by Kamilla Cardoso, who posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Banham matched her with 13 points, and Elizabeth Williams added 10. The Sky were without rookie Angel Reese, who sat out due to back tightness sustained in Tuesday’s game against Minnesota.
Seattle came out red-hot, hitting 6 of their first 9 shots and putting up 17 points in the game’s opening five minutes. Though their shooting cooled to 43% by the end of the first quarter, they still held a 26-18 lead after one. Despite managing only 13 points in the second quarter, the Storm still extended their lead going into the half and exploded offensively in the second half to seal the blowout.
