The Bulls Gave The Lakers A Run For Their Money At The United Center

Chicago, IL-The Chicago Bulls went down to the wire against the Los Angeles Lakers last night taking the win 115-110 at the United Center.

With recent spikes of the NBA’s health and safety protocols list, the Bulls down four players including All-Star small forward Zach LaVine and six out from the Lakers along with coach Frank Vogel, its been shaky ground but the show must go on for now.

An alley-oop from Russell Westbrook to DeAndre Jordan kicked off the scoring for the Lakers though the Bulls answered back on a pass from Lonzo Ball to Nicola Vucevic tying 2-2 in the first minutes of the game, Westbrook scored 20 to Jordan’s 9, both Ball and Vucevic had 19 a piece.

Lebron muscled his way to the paint against Javonte Green bringing the Lakers up two but DeRozan stepped in heating things up for the Bulls late in the second half. Lebron had 31 points with Green at 9 but DeMar was the game changer of the night.

With Chicago controlling much of the first half by as many as 10 points, the Lakers took the lead in the third quarter with an Isaiah Thomas floater making it 65-64. The rivals continued the standoff trading baskets well into the fourth before DeRozan fired it up with on a turnaround jumper putting the Bulls up 94-93.

From then on in there was no stopping the 6’6″ guard who setup a flawless three with 52.8 left in the fourth. After missing several comeback attempts, the Lakers fell back allowing the Bulls to seal the deal taking the W 115-110 in the final.

”Just pretty amazing what he did being out, missing games and having two days,” Bulls coach Billy Donovan said. ”His mental toughness and his competitive spirit are pretty amazing. Just his shot-making ability when we needed buckets.”

Carmelo Anthony had 21 points, Westbrook left with 20 and Isaiah Thomas had 13 on the scoreboard for the Lakers.
