Los Angeles, CA—Sunday afternoon, Hollywood came out to support the 8th Annual Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPAWARDS) show at the historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Actors, producers, musicians, fashion designers, dignitaries and other creative artists came out to support the collective unity bringing African and Black culture together.
This prestigious event, hosted by visionary leaders Amber Washington and Tina Weisinger celebrates the power of cultural transformation and the voices that bridge global talent and unity.
The Red Carpet did not disappoint, stars like Glynn Turman, Thai Edwards, Eric Zuley, Lisa Raye, Romane Simon, Richard Lawson, Dr. Nina Robinson, Trish Cook, Nikki Turner, D’Kia Anderson, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and many more!
Dr. Nathalie Beasnael & Miguel Nunez Jr. who kicked the night off with some laughter hosted the awards show. There were live performances by DJ Battlecat, Jeremih, Lil Fizz, and Chase Bell and Eddy Kenzo, Christian Bella, and Destinyy Nicole.

The African Culture & Heritage Award (Nigeria) Honoree is Oba Seifu Olawale (King of Iseyin Kingdom) Chase Bell and Eddy Kenzo are officially awarded for this year for “Best Independent Collaboration. “Chase Bell says the song “Your Sky Has No Limit”(Remix) has taken off bigger than I imagined, thanks from the bottom of my heart to all the people in Africa and the Usa I work with to build this song.
The movie “RSVP” won Best Director In A ( Network) Streaming Action Film (Hollywood) by Matthew Macur and Thomas Walton. Robert Richards won Best Actor in a Network Streaming Action Film (Hollywood) for “RSVP.”
This year veteran actor Mr. Richard Lawson will receive the first Lawrence Hilton- Jacobs Lifetime Achievement Award in Entertainment. Novi Brown WON for Best Supporting Actress for her work as SABRINA on BET Sistas. “I am still in SHOCK!!! I am BEYOND grateful to HAPAwards for recognizing my talent and hard work on 7 seasons on this show”.
