Las Vegas, NV — Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn delivered a standout performance with a game-high 29 points to lift UNLV to a narrow 80–78 victory over Grand Canyon on Saturday.

Gibbs-Lawhorn carried the offensive load for the Rebels, connecting on 10 of 23 shots from the field, including three triples, and knocking down all six of his free-throw attempts. UNLV finished the night at 11–12 overall and evened its Mountain West Conference record at 6–6.

Al Green provided a steady complement with 13 points, shooting efficiently at 4-for-6 from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 at the line. Kimani Hamilton and Issac Williamson each chipped in 10 points, with Hamilton converting five of his nine shot attempts.

Grand Canyon kept pace throughout and was led by a strong all-around effort from Nana Owusu-Anane, who recorded 19 points, 13 rebounds, and four steals for the Antelopes (15–8, 8–4). Jaden Henley added a double-double of 17 points and 10 boards while also swatting two shots, and Makaih Williams finished with 16 points.

UNLV leaned on Green down the stretch, as he scored 11 of his 13 points after halftime. Although the Rebels were outscored by eight in the second half, they managed to withstand Grand Canyon’s late push and hold on for the two-point win.
