New York, NY–With the 2020 NFL Draft two weeks away Jets GM Joe Douglas will be solidifying his draft plan shortly –Draft experts are saying the first-round pick will be between a wide receiver or an offensive tackle at No. 11 spot. Others say that the Gang Green might trade down to 15th (Denver) and stack their picks.Douglas and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams have glaring holes on both sides of the ball but Gase & company have to strike an equal accord to make it work. One of their top needs is at the cornerback position. It was a major concern all year, as injuries and poor play plagued them. So they hope that Ohio State Jeff Okudah, Florida C.J. Henderson, or Alabama Trevon Diggs land in their laps.

Wide Receiver

Robby Anderson packed his bags and went South (Carolina). With an anemic receiving core, the Jets have to put emphasis on this unit. Josh Doctson and Breshad Perriman will offer some relief but Sam Donaldson needs a legitimate deep threat Alabama Henry Ruggs III and his teammate Jerry Jeudy can definitely make cornerbacks sick. But the Jets might have to settle on Oklahoma CeeDee Lamb because Jeudy and Ruggs might be long gone.

Offensive Line

The offensive line was injury-prone and ineffective last year. Connor McGovern was signed to play center. At the guard position, Alex Lewis was retained and Greg Van Roten was added. Look for the Jets to draft Iowa Tristan Wirfs or Louisville Mekhi Becton who they are very high on.

Running Back

The Le’Veon Bell project didn’t work out for the Jets. The talk around town they’ll move from Bell once his guarantees run out next year. The Jets are hoping NJ native Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin or speedster Anthony McFarland from Maryland names are still on the board when they select a running back.

The draft day we will see who is pulling the strings tighter offense or defense, we will see whether Douglas will bolster up the offensive line first or will he go Rambo and select a few corners to start off his draft. I guess we will have to wait and see.
