Xscape & SWV:The Queens Of R&B Tour Rocks Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden—–In the heart of summer, the pulsing beat of New York City welcomed an electrifying event: “The Queens of R&B” tour, headlined by XSCAPE and SWV, was about to light up Madison Square Garden. The anticipation was palpable as fans lined up outside the iconic venue hours before the doors opened at 6 PM.

Wednesday night’s Queens of R&B Tour at the Garden delivered an unforgettable celebration of classic R&B. The lineup was a testament to the genre’s rich history, with each act bringing their unique energy to the stage.

The evening kicked off with Psiryn, who set the tone with an engaging performance that warmed up the audience for the stellar acts to come. Their energetic start was followed by OMG, whose infectious beats and lively presence got the crowd moving and grooving.

They hit us with “Lover Boy”, “Where The Boys At”, “Gucci This”, and closed the night  with “Itz Over”.

Next up was 702, whose performance was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Their blend of smooth harmonies and catchy tunes had the audience singing along, making it clear why they remain R&B favorites. Busting out songs like “Get It Together, “Where My Girls At”, “Gotta Leave”, “You Don’t Know”, and “You’ll Just Never Know”.

Total followed, bringing their signature style and charisma to the stage. Their set was a highlight, with the crowd fully immersed in their dynamic performance. Total hit us with tracks like “Can’t You See”, “Kissin’ You”, “No One Else”, “Trippin”, “What About Us”, “Juicy”, “What You Want”, and “Rain”.

The excitement reached new heights with McLyte, whose high-octane delivery and classic hits had the crowd hyped and energized. Her set was a perfect blend of nostalgia and fresh energy. Lyte blesses us with “Self Destruction”, “Cha Cha Cha”, “I Wanna Be Down”, and “Ruffneck”.

Mya then took the stage and she truly set it off with a set full of timeless classics. Her vocal prowess and stage presence were undeniable, and she effortlessly captivated the audience with each song. Mya hit the stage with a bang belting out songs like “Case Of My Ex”, “Best Of Me”,”Girls Dem Sugar”, “Fallen”, “The Best Of Me”, “Fallen”, “Take Me There”, “Can We Talk”, “Lady Marmalade”, and “It’s All About Me”.

The highlight of the night was the joint performance by Xscape and SWV. However, the headliners put a cap on the evening with an alternating set that started with members of SWV and Xscape taking the stage together before alternating songs in a somewhat random fashion. Their harmonies and stage presence created a memorable closing for the night.
