Englewood, NJ–Commemorating its exclusive multi million dollar renovation, the Bergen Performing Arts Center definitely pulled out all the stops Thursday night as legendary R&B multi-platinum recording artist Brian McKnight helped honor the celebration with a one night only performance off his latest concert series.

The elegant venue located in the heart of Englewood’s downtown district instantly sold out with the mass sea of die hard fans anxiously awaiting the moment to indulge in the evening’s melodic pleasure.

The sixteen-time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter extraordinaire appeared on stage looking fashionably handsome receiving an amorous welcome from faithful admirers before performing his playlist of all time classic hits and passionate love ballads.

Kicking off his set, McKnight paid homage to iconic musical genius Steve Wonder’s 1976 snappy classic “Sir Duke” and 1982 funky hit “That Girl” before soothing the tempo to his sensational 2001 smash hit “Love Of My Life” off his sixth album Superhero swaying his melismatic flawless tenor bringing the ladies to his mercy.

Romanticizing the moment, he ensued with 1997 vintage hits “Anytime” off his song titled double platinum certified third album together with the ever sentimental “The Only One For Me” and recent 2021 track “Faithfully” mesmerizing the crowd.

The silky crooner kept in his flow with “Still In Love”, “The Way Loves Goes” before switching gears to jams “You Should Be Mine”, “Crazy Love”, “Everything” and 2006’s sweet love track “Find Myself In You” off the Madea’s Family Reunion movie soundtrack having listeners rocking in their seats.

After a brief intermission engaging with love struck audience, McKnight showcased his instrumental skills stroking his guitar strings paying tribute to greats Bobby Caldwell, Prince and the phenomenal Whitney Houston before belting notes to 1999’s Soul Train Music Award Best R&B/Soul Album track “Back At One”, wedding themed song “Nobody” off his 2020 sixteenth album Exodus reflecting his second marriage to wife Leilani before closing to all time classic “One Last Cry”, “Fall” and “Still”.
