Newark, NJ–Saturday night’s presence at the Prudential Center was beyond electrifying as La Musica’s Mega Mezcla 2024 concert was underway with a phenomenal line-up of some of today’s hottest Latino artists.
Hosting the annual music bash was none other than NYC La Mega 97.9’s own “Padrino De La Musica Latina” Alex Sensation firing up the rock with his flawless rotation of party hits hyping up the crowd with a surprise Live backstage Mega Mix that turnt up the entire venue.
Since 2016, Mega Mezcla has been the most successful collaborative Latino concert to date combining the infectious tropical sounds of salsa, merengue, bachata and reggaeton all under one powerhouse event for fans across the globe.
Sensation joined the massive showcase a year later after being offered his own segment on the colossal radio station. He released a debut mix album Alex Sensation & Friends in 2009 which still remains a significant milestone in his career, earned an ACE (Association of Latin Entertainment Critics) award and was signed to Magus Talent Agency. Teaming up with numerous artists including Yandel, Shaggy, Ozuna, Nicky Jam and Bad Bunny, Sensation has become a hands down world-wide success.
Extending his 45th birthday celebration, the DJ extraordinaire continued blazing the ones and two’s while multiplatinum heavy hitter Myke Towers opened the festivities smashing his pulsating set. Latin Grammy Reggaetonero Eladio Carrion followed up with his smooth flow and fellow stunner Arcangel hit the stage vibing to his signature style.
Multi award winning powerhouse Wisin gave an energetic performance to classic fan favorites, as well as music prodigies Mora, Darell, and Ryan Castro slaying their sets with magnetic stage flare.
Closing out the adrenaline filled showcase was Secreto el Biberon flossing his Dominican flavor to the Latin hot list, tying in all the artist performances into an igniting, show stopping work of art.
La Mega Mezcla continues to be an unbeatable mix of collaborative latin music, culture and diversity bringing all Latinos together in unison to celebrate the love of music. Truly, a definite must see!
