To say this New Years Rockin Eve broadcast was anything but unusual would be an understatement. Far from the thousands in attendance at NYC’s renowned Times Square now limited to forty of the city’s first responders and their families with VIP status to the evening’s festivities.
Headlining the shows’ NY performances was none other than Puerto Rican bombshell JLo, unveiling an inner-city intro launching her skincare line “JLo Beauty” before her live display in true chic form upon a stilt platform donned in a white feather-like costume.
Following her performance of the sexy single “In the morning”, she paused giving an emotional tribute to the havoc of 2020 humbly stating “We’ve lost too many” before singing an acoustic version of classic “Waiting For Tonight” that lead to an eccentric twist of Aerosmith iconic frontman Steve Tyler’s “Dream On” leaving fans in awe.
Belting notes pure rocker style, she graciously redeemed herself to party anthem “Dance Again” regrouping the showcase tone. Known for her fire showstopping presentations, this was definitely a new side to “Jenny From The Block” we’ve had yet to witness.
Other astounding artists ignited the spotlight throughout the LA telecast. Fellow Latino fiery sensation Maluma hit the stage with his rhythmic new single “Hawai” along with Karol G’s seductive track “Bichota”, Chole x Halle’s sellout smash “Do It”, and Megan Stallon’s blazing “Body” rejuvenating that euphoric feel for viewers worldwide.
Appearances from Nelly and En Vogue slaying their jams “Hot In Here”, “Must Be The Money”, “Never Gonna Get It” and “Free Your Mind” tapped into that “Ol Skool” flavor while fresh songsters Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Cyrus sisters Miley and Noah, along with Latin boppers CNCO had everyone flexing their two-step yet the tender duet of Cyndi Lauper and Billy Porter’s “True Colors” gave it that humane connection.
One thing is for certain, the new year’s eve of 2020 will forever be remembered as unique unlike any other.
