Georgia Tech Knocks Off Syracuse At McCamish Pavilion 65-60

Atlanta, Ga-Georgia Tech secured a 65-60 victory over Syracuse in an intense match on Saturday. Kyle Sturdivant led with 17 points, supported by double-doubles from Miles Kelly and Baye Ndongo. Ndongo contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Kelly chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Tafare Gapare chipped in with 10 points for the Yellow Jackets. Despite Syracuse’s efforts, including a late surge led by JJ Starling and Judah Mintz, Georgia Tech maintained control. The Yellow Jackets capitalized on key plays, including Sturdivant’s crucial 3-pointer, securing the win.

A Yellow Jacket 12-2 spurt in which Sturdivant scored eight points put Georgia Tech up 48-38 with about 12 minutes left in the second fram. JJ Starling scored six points and the Orangemen trimmed the lead to 50-46. Syracuse tied the contest at 52 on a layup by Kyle Cuffe Jr. and later took a one-point lead on a 3-pointer by Chris Bell.

Starling scored 18 points for Syracuse, with Mintz adding 14 points. Maliq Brown showcased an impressive performance for Syracuse with six points, eight rebounds, five steals, and two assists. Georgia Tech dominated the rebounding game with a 49-28 advantage.

Kelly made a layup and his free throw finished the three-point play for a 62-58 Georgia Tech lead with 31 ticks on the clock. Judah Mintz made a pair for Syracuse, getting the Orange within two points with 26 seconds left in the contest.
