New York, NY— The 6’3 215 pound quarterback Houston, Texas resident Trey Martin put together a stellar junior year at Oregon City High School in Oregon City, Oregon.
We have watched Trey develop over the past few years into one of the top QB prospects in the Three Rivers League.
On film-Martin can make any throw and is better suited in a spread offense. He shows a quick release and even quicker feet. His mobility is outstanding as is his arm strength. Trey is a coach on the field, he has a great knowledge of the game, pocket presence, and is not afraid to take a hit. Trey is a sleeper who certainly has the height, the arm, and the overall athletic skills to play Division I football.
This is what 4.0 Sports Columnist Marvin Chambers had this to say about Martin: “I had been watching him since he was in the 6th grade and I was very impressed with this kid passion for the game at an early age. He takes command of the offense and was always composed. You don’t find that in quarterbacks at that age. His game has matured and he has taken his skill sets to another level. Trey makes everyone around him a better football player. He shines when the spotlight is on him.”
Through seven games, Martin has completed 132 of 216 passes (61.1 percent) with 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions. In his Pioneers’ debut, Martin completed 39 of 54 passes for 377 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-39 come-from-behind home win over Grants Pass.
For the year Martin completed (100-191) passes for 1858 yards with 18 touchdowns. With a completion percentage of (.524). Trey also had 400 yards on the ground for the Pioneers.
Martin has college interests from Brown, Columbia, Harvard, Holy Cross, and Central Washington if he plays like he played last season they will turn into bonafide offers.
